Outside Views

It is interesting to see from the outside that the tower bears the remains of ancient rooflines. Just above the triangular - headed window can be seen the Saxon roof-line. Originally the window would have been a doorway giving access to the upper chamber above the nave; similar doorways would have led to chambers above the transepts and chancel.

This beautiful building has served the needs of the people of Norton for over a thousand years. It is still an inspiration to us today, as we strive to learn about the love of God, and to respond in love to Him. Pray for us.
